I decided to apply to HSE because I had already studied some of their courses on Coursera and improved my knowledge of algorithms and C++. So I knew the university well enough, and as soon as I discovered that there was a full Master’s degree in computer vision I applied to it.
I had two big reasons to look for fundamental education. The first one is curiosity. I wanted to dive deeper into the computer vision process. The second reason is that my friend is a neurosurgeon. Together, we started a project that fully relies on computer vision technology, so I needed more knowledge in this field.

Our program will give you structured and practice-oriented knowledge about Computer vision, even without prior experience in image processing.
B1 is the minimal level for you to be comfortable with our program. Of course there’s no problem if you make mistakes. If you feel uneasy about asking questions in English out loud, you are always welcome to write in the webinar chat.
You will be able to pass the entrance exams and study on our program if you have previously studied Mathematics and programming for your Bachelor’s degree.

You don’t have to come to campus, all our communication with the students is done online. Your thesis defense will also be held online.
Our Master’s degree takes 2 academic years to complete, this duration is fixed.
You will receive HSE’s official Master’s diploma, specialty 01.04.02 Applied Mathematics and Informatics with a supplement in English. It will not be specified that you studied online.
Tuition fees are split in 4 payments, one before each semester. You make your first payment as you sign your contract before enrolling.
